Bin noch nicht sicher, ob ich morgen mitfliegen kann. Morgen startet bei uns die Garten und Terassenneugestaltung. Da weiß ich halt nicht, was nach Feierabend der Handwerker ansteht. Entscheide ich kurzfristig.

@everyone Time for another update on the Kodiak for MSFS 2024, covering recent development progress and the final structure of the upcoming release.

First, a small change regarding how the aircraft will be packaged. The 2024 Kodiak lineup will now be distributed in two formats.

The main package will be the Kodiak 100, which will include both the wheeled and amphibian variants of the aircraft in a single product. In previous releases these versions were sold separately, but after reviewing our sales data this combined approach proved to be the most practical and convenient for users. The Kodiak 100 package will be priced at €35 on the SimWorks Studios store and $40 on the Microsoft Marketplace.

For users who prefer the floatplane specifically, a stand-alone Amphibian version will also remain available. The 2024 Amphibian will see a small +€5 price adjustment compared to the previous version.

As with our other MSFS 2024 upgrades, owners of the 2020 Kodiak will receive a discounted upgrade option, expected to fall within the €15–€20 range depending on the store, roughly 50% of the retail price.

On the development side, the past few days have been dedicated to reworking the aircraft’s engine bay. New and more detailed reference material became available, and after reviewing it we felt the previous version did not meet the standard we wanted for the 2024 release.

The engine area has now been rebuilt around a modular architecture. The PT6 engine and surrounding components are modeled as individual elements, including the starter, alternator, batteries, bleed air muffler, and other key systems. This setup improves visual fidelity and performance, while also allowing us — and the community — to update or replace individual components in the future.

The engine bay work should be completed within the next couple of days, effectively concluding the remaining development tasks for the aircraft.

With that milestone approaching, the Kodiak 2024 release date will be announced next week.

Hört sich gut an. Müsste ich dann nur gegen meine Daten stellen, da ich da oben auch schon einiges, auch Payware, auf der Platte habe. Für mich daher nur bedingt nutzbar.

Bei den ganzen Updates, die ich zum großen Teil ja gar nicht auf Platte habe, würde ich mich gerne nochmal mit Dir unterhalten, wie man die DB Synchronistion am besten bewerkstelligt. Ich möchte da ungern im Selbstversuch fummeln und möglicherweise irgendwas zerschiessen.

Evtl. machen wir da mal ein "Seminar", an dem auch Matze und Uwe teilnehmen können. Ich denke, denen ist das Handeln mit der DB auch nicht so klar.

Da hat der "Kleine" ja nochmal Glück gehabt. Da sieht man wieder, dass solche Werkzeuge kein Spielzeug sind.

SYSTEMS – SIGNIFICANTLY REWORKED Beyond visuals, the MSFS 2024 version features a major systems rewrite: • Smart AutoStart: the engine can now be started using CTRL+E without risking damage. The system monitors ITT during start and will automatically motor the engine to cool it if needed. In case of a hot start or fire, it transitions into shutdown mode.
• Smart AutoStop: shortcut shutdowns now adapt depending on whether it’s a normal or emergency situation.
• Expanded G1000 suite with the full set of screens and options found in the real Kodiak 100.
• Rewritten electrical system with improved load handling and previously inactive circuit breakers now functional.
• Reworked Environmental Control System.
• Improved lighting states for more accurate day and night starts. The MSFS 2024 Kodiak represents a structural evolution of the aircraft on the new platform. After a long refinement period, we are happy to be in the very final days of development and expect to be able to share a release date soon!

Ich nehme heute die Pilatus PC-12 von SWS. Kann durch die normale PC-12 ersetzt werden.

Nach drei Versuchen hat es auch mit der T-34 geklappt. Echt cool. Ob das auch mit der Bonanza funktioniert? Am Montag mal probieren.

Ich kann bestätigen, dass er sehr zeitaufwändig ist. Ich beschäftige mich eigentlich nur mit der F18. Und es gibt nicht so viele gute Staffeln zum gemeinsamen Fliegen. Entweder Dödel, denen es hauptsächlich um Dogfight etc geht, oder aber semi proffesionelle Staffeln, bei denen die Procedures alle stimmen müssen.

Außerdem hat man wohl jetzt auch mit ATC begonnen.

Ich fliege nur für mich. Es gibt einige Campaigns, bzw. man kann sich selbst welche bauen.

Mein Augenmerk bleibt auf jeden Fall beim MSFS2024.

Die gab es doch schon mal für P3D. Hatte ich. Schneller Vogel. Wundert mich, dass A2A sowas umsetzt.

Mit was bist Du denn geflogen? Das ganze Einstellen der Eingabegeräte ist nicht so komfortabel wie beim MSFS. Es gibt aber ein gutes Forum und gute YT Kanäle.

Ich nehme doch die Baron oder die Bonanza. Die Osprey sackt mir zu oft durch und crasht. Noch ein wenig üben

Ich werde morgen mal die Osprey einsetzen. Zum Ersetzen am besten nen großen Heli nehmen, z.B. H225.

Hier mal einen Link zu einem tollen YT mit einem Flug mit dem EF. Ich fand den Film super. Fliegt teilweise in unseren Höhen.

mit dem Rabatt konnte ich nicht widerstehen. Hatte die 600er im 2020 und fand sie super. Klein und schnell. Jetzt habe ich die 800er und 600er mit Bonus bekommen.

Da wird Horst sich aber freuen. Er mag doch die 600er und wartete schon sehnsüchtig.

Heute mal auf dem Träger gelandet.

Ich nehme zunächst auch die Black Square Duke. Ersetzbar durch jede 2 Mot Cessna. Wenns zum Träger geht, nehme ich dann doch die Osprey.
