ZitatScenery Addons' BGL files shouldn't need recompiling at all if a 64bit FS version comes out. BGL files are not 32bit or 64bit "code", they are just 3D Data files. Its like a TEXT file, HTML page or Word Document. The file format doesn't become 64Bit, only app that deal with the files. If they change something in the BGL format it is possible that we would need to recompile, but that probably wouldn't be because of 64bit but some other thing they change.[QUOTE]The same isn't true for some more complex Addons like Aircraft and Weather, which use DLLs that contain 32bit code. That kind of Addon would prob need at least some partial recompiling. If they claim otherwise, they're full of ***. Any 64bit app I switched to in the last 10 years, I could still load data files that were written with the 32bit version of the app.
